I had the fantastic fortune of being able to dive in the Giant Ocean tank in the New England Aquarium with turtles, rays, plenty of carribean fish and 4 sharks.

The intense blue color of this fish just blew me away on a Tinian dive. When I came up I asked Mike Tripp (of “Underwaterworldof.com″ fame) what the name of it was. He couldn’t remember off the top of his head but pointed out the character of “Dory” from Finding Nemo was the same kind of fish. I may have a new favorite.

Bill Ruckelshaus, the 1st head of the EPA back in the 1970s, is honored for his work in 2007 to protect Puget Sound - one of the great natural jewels of the US. Here he pops out of the sound - wearing a wetsuit for the 1st time in his life. He was honored in 2007 as an Environmental Hero by the Washington Environmental Council - a leading voice for environmental protection for four decades.
